About Wee3

Kimberly and Steven Shane founded Wee3® in summer of 2009. Kimberly, a footwear designer and Steven a retail store manager bring a combined 43 years of industry experience working for brands such as Adidas, Converse, Nike, Jordan and Caleres.

Both Kimberly and Steven came from a family that cultivated a love for learning from the very beginning and in August of 2008 Kimberly became the mother of a beautiful baby girl named Evelyn. After returning to the workforce she found herself exhausted, mentally and physically between business trips to China, footwear shows and inspiration trips.

Kimberly was determined to figure out how she was going to give her daughter the time and tools needed to move successfully into a fast-changing world. At this juncture Kimberly began to brainstorm on how she could combine her love for learning with her passion for shoes to make every moment with Evelyn count. She then came up with the idea to take age specific developmental milestones as inspiration to design the footwear; in addition, provide actual activities with the shoes to help parents maximize the time they have with their child.

This unique fusion helped to create what we would like to call "learning footwear" the essence of the Wee3 brand.
